It’s an unprecedented situation that we are currently facing in the events industry and nothing (in my lifetime) has ever come close to what we are seeing. All events, exhibitions, conferences and meetings have either been cancelled or postponed to a date that still might not be achievable.
Support is key
Understandably, companies are concerned and are even reluctant to spend time and money, planning for future events that are over six months away, for fear of losing out. Again.
So how do we progress in such an uncertain time? How does an events agency keep supporting their clients in delivering interactive experiences to their customers whilst avoiding physical, interactive, social experiences?
We are seeing the industry change daily. Companies across the sector are having to grab the situation by the horns and evolve with it. And we are no different.
As soon as projects started to get cancelled, we knew that this was not a storm we could sit back and ride out. We want to be part of the solution. Action was needed. We want to help our clients keep moving forward. How we have always perceived live events is now changing. And, despite all the uncertainty and difficulties, it’s really exciting to be a part of this movement.
So, what now?
We are currently working hard on bringing our brochure request app Request Shed™ to multiple platforms. Allowing visitors access to brand messages and marketing materials remotely is just one plan we are now focused on. And we have a few more on the drawing board.
By creating this new way of engaging audiences, we hope to help companies educate visitors regarding their products and services, whilst not having to physically be present on their exhibition stand. All requests are captured providing our clients with valuable lead information and a rich source of data for post event follow up.
You can see more on our Request Shed™ website by following this link: https://www.request-shed.com/connect/ and keep up to date by following us on Twitter @RequestShedApp and Instagram @requestshed
With this we hope to support our clients through this turbulent time and also provide some ROI for companies that are struggling to get their message out to their customers. For now all we can say is, stay safe, stay positive and watch this space!
